No surrender for U13 Whites

Today was our first match in the Berkshire Junior League u13s. This was against B’s Navy which are a tough team to beat.

We were lucky to have Anna and Polly join us from the south region team and it felt fantastic to have the old team back together again.

In the first quarter we tried our best however we were 1 goal down at the end, so we knew we had to up our game even more.

The second quarter was where we added another 10 goals to our score (compared to their 9), meaning now we were even.

The third quarter was the toughest and silly mistakes crept into the game. Our fitness was challenged to the max.

The final quarter the opposition’s defence was exceptional and very aggressive. But we held our ground and finally won the game. We later found out they had 7 south region players in their team and we had two, so this was a fantastic win and a great match for the team to realise the standard of play.

Polly won player of the match. Well done to Polly and thank you to her and Anna for playing in our team. We wish them both the best.
