About Us

We are based at Woodford Park Leisure Centre, off Haddon Drive, Woodley which is managed by Woodley Town Council. We meet every Tuesday & Wednesday evening during school term time.

Training is held in the sports hall in the winter from 8.00 - 9.30 pm for seniors and our junior section for girls aged 9-14 is held from 5.30 - 8.00 pm. Indoor training includes circuit training, ball skills and team practice. Friendly games are also arranged and everyone gets the chance to join in.

The netball season runs from September to May and the club fields seven teams playing the South Regional League, the Berkshire Premier League at Theale Green School and the Bracknell and District Netball League based at Cantley Park, Wokingham.  These matches are played on alternate Saturdays between September and April.  We also enter teams into the friendly summmer leagues at Theale and Cantley Park, playing on Monday and Tuesday evenings respectively.

Team selections are held in June and July using the summer leagues and training nights ready for the new season.  New players joining mid-season are given the opportunity to trial for teams and good club players are usually part of a squad before the end of that season.

For those interested in umpiring & coaching, there is plenty of opportunity for training and practice; several club members are qualified at various levels.  Woodley Netball Club always supports any players wishing to further their own development in either umpiring or coaching and will subsidise any courses attended.
